On June 2, it was reported that a domestic battery company, Gotion Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. ("Gotion" based in Hefei, Anhui province) that Gotion intends to establish an electric vehicle battery factory in Morocco, North Africa, with a long-term annual capacity of 100 GWh.

As the relevant person in charge of Gotion told reporters, ‘ Both the company and the Moroccan government have the intention to build a local battery factory, which is still in communication.’The reason for choosing Morocco," is to consider the market in Europe and Africa.”

According to Reuters, the final investment could be as high as 6.3 billion USD(44.58 billion CNY).
