On June 5, Kyrgyzstan Cabinet Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov and Minister of Finance and Economics Almaz met with Que Chaoyang, vice president of Zijin Mining, respectively in Bishkek.
Prime Minister Japarov welcomed the visit of Vice President Que Chaoyang. He fully affirmed his achievements in legal operation, green ecological protection and community construction, and requested that Altynken be promoted as a successful experience of China-Kyrgyzstan cooperation. He said that he will continue to support Zijin's development in Kyrgyzstan and hopes to further jointly build a modern green and sustainable ecological mine at a higher level.
At the Astana Mining & Metallurgy Congress, Melis Turgunbaev, Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan, also met with Zijin’s delegation. He thanked Zijin for its significant contribution to the economic development of Kyrgyzstan and praised Altynken LLC for its approach to production and operations and the processes and technologies it uses.
During the visit to Kyrgyzstan, Zijin Mining’s delegation also signed a memorandum of cooperation with state-owned gold miner Kyrgyzaltyn JSC. According to the memorandum, the two companies will establish a strategic partnership and strengthen their cooperation in mining industry.
