Byd new energy power battery project is the key report of Wenzhou site project, the project is located in Qiaotou Town, Yongjia country, with a total land area of 860 mu, a total investment of ￥6.5 billion CNY, a planned capacity of 20 GWh, and the annual sales is expected to reach 16 billion yuan.

Last November, Wenzhou BYD new energy power battery production base project cloud signing ceremony was held. The power battery to be produced by this project adopts one of the current potential battery technologies, which is expected to drive the high-quality development of the whole new energy industry chain, and link the transformation and upgrading of the existing power battery, automotive electronics, auto and motorcycle distribution industries in Wenzhou. It is expected that the first production line will be put into production in 2024.

According to the data of China Automobile Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, BYD's domestic power battery loading volume accounted for 23.45% in 2022, ranking second, only second to CATL (48.20%). In January this year, CATL, BYD domestic power battery loading volume accounted for 44.41%, 34.12% respectively, ranking in the top two.
